Hey everyone,
really having trouble finding any information on stylized HDRi images, or how sky boxes are created for stylized games using a PBR workflow.
Overwatch would be the perfect example. It wouldn't seem to fit the art direction to use a HDRi shot with a camera in a game with all hand crafted materials. I know for games like WoW the sky boxes are painted by hand in Photoshop. Would you do the same, then take the painted sky dome into a program such as HDRi Light Studio and build the HDRi there? Is there other ways to go about doing this, or am I thinking about this all wrong? haha
Cheers!

A lot of games build their skies at runtime though so the lighting information isn't necessarily generated outside of the engine
