This is my first prop from the Wild West prop render competition found here, https://www.artstation.com/artwork/xarZr and https://www.artstation.com/contests/wild-west/challenges/40/submissions/32163
I started off with inspiration from this concept https://www.artstation.com/artwork/DOlw0 by Tiago Sousa. From there it grew larger and larger as I tried to keep the scale of the prop down but instead kept adding more detail. The texturing is atrocious and I will be redoing it in time, most of it was literally a last second change and as such the previous texturing was significantly better but there was no time to re render before submission.
Apart from the texturing the geometry and composition I quite like and as such I will be coming back to this in time to fix the many mistakes made during it.
Thank you for your time and I hope to hear where I can improve, specifically in geometry, lighting and composition. As again the texturing is abysmal and will certainly be redone
Also note there are other channels but I dont have the time to manually composite them due to substance painter being unable to merge layers (although I bought a program to do it automatically so I will be doing that more in the future). That program is found here, https://www.artstation.com/artwork/DgBDo
