The Cepheus Protocol is going to be designed as a Top/Down Real-Time Strategy Game. The player(s)
will control an 8 man squad, comprised of unit types of their choosing as they explore the city of San
Francisco, desperately trying to stay ahead of a rapidly evolving viral outbreak.
Halcyon Winds are looking for fresh and dedicated members who have a love for video games and learning. We are currently finishing our prototype build of our launch title, Cepheus Protocol, which we will utilize to seek investment. As of right now, several potential backers have approached us or have shown interest in our game. With that in mind, we genuinely require new team members that are fully committed to joining our team – people who see game design as a career and want to either expand their portfolios with something genuinely inspiring or want to join an experienced team of creators. Halcyon Winds is a dedicated, structured, and trustworthy team looking to make a splash in the industry. We would love for you to join us on this journey.

Talent Required:3D Prop Modeler/Environment Modeler (Open)- 3D Modeling background
- Experience with UE4 toolset a bonus.
- Must attend our weekly meetings and active on Discord almost daily
- Expected to create additional props & hard surfaces for use in an RTS game
3D Character Artist (Open)- Experience with Character Modeling Software(Zbrush etc)
- Experience with UE4 toolset a bonus.
- Must attend our weekly meetings and active on Discord almost daily
- Expected to create and collaborate with Skinner/Rigger
Level Designer (Open)- Experience in UE4/UDK
- Must attend our weekly meetings and active on Discord almost daily
- The willingness to manage and assign tasks to modelers under you
- Basic Knowledge of blueprints
Animator (Open)- Experience in 3Dmax Animation
- Must attend our weekly meetings and active on Discord almost daily
- Understand IK and FK
- Technical understanding of animations and their use for player feedback
Concept Artist(Open)- Must attend our weekly meetings and active on Discord almost daily
- Able to take critiques and reasonable turn around

Seeking concept artists and a few animators for cutscenes.
Concept Artist:
● Develop wide range of highly creative character, creature and environment concept art
● Develop rough initial sketches for the project leads to review and approve before moving onto more detailed concepts
● Provide any real-world references, materials or inspiration for each concept developed if applicable
● Aid in creation of marketing materials and assets.
● Attain feedback from peers and leads.
● Attain project deadlines and milestones established by project leads. be involved in meetings and maintain effective communication with team.
● Use your report channel to maintain communication with project leads for progress updates and questions.
● Maintain Zoho deadlines
Interact proactively with designers, programmers, and other artists.
Workflow outline:
●The concept art lead will provide you with a concept to work on
The concept artist will send 1st rough draft to Creative Director, Art Director and project leads for review
● The project leads will review the concept and send any edits required
● The concept artist will make the required changes and send back the revisions to be approved
● The project leads will approve the final version a new task will be assigned
Required Skills:
● Excellent illustration skills
● Effective communication skills
● Ability to visualize perspective and 3-dimensional space
● A keen interest in design, architecture and video games
●Ability to visually interpret other people's ideas
●Ability to be flexible and to adapt to change when requested
Animation:
● Knows how organic and inorganic objects move in a way that feels realistic and natural
● Assignments must be approved by Animation Lead and Art Director before being imported into engine
● Knows how to properly export and import animations from 3ds Max to UE4
● Knows how to implement animations into UE4 blueprint
● Knows how to use UE4 blueprint
Technical Animator:
● Knows how to rig models
● Knows how to skin models
● Knows anatomy so the models can be properly skinned
● Knows proper topology for models
Knows the process for importing character:
1. Import skinned model into engine
2. Make a new skeleton if there is not already a skeleton
3. Make sure the physics asset is imported
If the model has topology that creates difficulty in the deformation of the model, contact the character modeler so they can fix it
