Its based upon a travelling conman who picks up his briefcase and moves from town to town, selling snake oil and fake gold maps in a pitch of a Utopian fantasy of the frontier. Once he has sold all he can he quickly closes his briefcase and moves on before anyone is the wiser
The sales pitch in writing is included as a picture, but its best viewed in the challenge post. This started as a failed prop but luckily I was able to salvage as much as I could from it when making this project, the briefcase although it might look odd is based on the historical period rather than an idealised briefcase. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/history-humble-suitcase-180951376/
I hope to get feedback on where I can improve and thank you for your time

Unless you mean these hinges etc... which were modelled and textured from historical references, which in essence is a heavily heavily stained wrought iron. I could of probably added some stain wear to bring out the iron underneath though as its fairly bland
Gotchya.
Well, the rock definitely looks flat. Needs variance reflective of some version of a reasonable geological chronology.
