Hey guys. here are my current project and overall progress. Svetlana the warrior of light. She fights against the army of darkness. The first idea was to make her enchantress of magic lanterns, but after I decided to keep just one lantern for her as a weapon.

Next, I gave her a crown like sunrays and put this design element further all over the character and weapon.

I'm in love with this character. I really like the idea of using a lantern to fight the dark and for the light side. Your sculpt is gorgeous and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this. I also like seeing your progress from the sculpt block in to the polished sculpt

Your sculpt is amazing! But it feels like her head is a bit to small. It might work when you get the hair in place, as it balances out how small the head is. But I think you could scale it up a little bit. Superb job so far though!

The new face looks great, has much more character. I would be very interested in seeing the process you followed from that sketchy blob armor plates to the polished and sharper version you have now.

@Nandx Thanks .Actually, the process was pretty simple, I just did retopology for rough armor plates by hand and after did polish it in zbrush.

this is coming great! for the hardsurface part, did you always start to block out sculpting in zbrush as a unique piece and then you retopo each parts?

@BestiArt Depends on the project. Here I did this way because I didn't have a clear and finished concept. For me, sculpting rough shape in ZBrush is more fun and comfortable, once I did find a cool silhouette, I can clean up concept model.

Every hero needs a proper villain. I did quick concept and called them shadows. Svetlana will fight with them using lantern on chain.

Right now the image feels quite noisy and she does not get in to a good focus. I think the lighting and the atmospheric perspective could need some love, there are a lot of dark parts around her that take some attention from the main piece. But man the progress on her is amazing!

I won't tell any C&C, as I'm just so far from this level. Just needs to tell you that your character looks awesome to me ! Your work is really inspiring, thanks for the WIP parts (it helps figuring out how you've built this idea), I really love these subtle details you've put everywhere and I also really like the armor design. Only the lighting seems a bit odd
The right side is rather brightly lit, yet the lamp has a strong bloom but does not really emit a lot of light, not even for a rim light on the leg

I really, really like the character ) especially spiey armor pieces,
