I'm trying to add a vector displacement to my model in Maya, rendering with Vray.
I've sculpted and exported from Zbrush.
Here's my model in Maya:
My sculpted model in Zbrush:
My 32bit Vector displacement map (using as an .exr, because it Maya seemed to error with it as a t.iff.)
Render (No displacement) I rendered here because I'd expect to see the ribs.
And finally my Vray vector displacement settings.
I've changed Displacement type between vector displacement, adsolute and object.
Changed the displacement amount.
Changed the subdivisions, from 4 to 16 to 32.
Can anyone see anything that maybe I'm missing or I've done wrong?
I've used this work flow based on tutorials... and there's all seem to work after these steps?!
I can get the model to displace under "vector displacement" with no"absolute or object" but it just has mad triangles going everywhere.

Check this out, should work
Import the highres mesh... unsubdivide the mesh to get the levels back and bake with subD method...
