AER9 Laser Pistol - Fallout Concept

I had some free time so I began to tackle Fernando Correa's AER9 Laser Pistol concept. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/vLBrO
I'm very new to hard surfacing but I would appreciate more feedback. I am going to try and take this one all the way through to the end.
Items to edit so far:
The trigger and trigger guard dont flow well into the grip
The panel hinge is too big
The base of the grip need to be smaller and angled upwards
Soften the edges of the bands around the grip, too sharp
Sharpen the edges around the sight and the curved bit that enters the barrel
Add more detail to back and top (basically I don't know what to do with the parts I can't see, going to look up ref)
