[Rev-share] Guardforce game: Hand Painted/Stylized Texture Artist (Unity)

Evolve Games is an indie studio founded 3 years ago. We're passionate about video games with great ambitions, ideas and a clear mind with respect to how we create our games. The objective to reach further every day, to make more and better games, games made for you, the players, games we'd love to be playing. That's what has kept us going to this day. And we need YOUR help! The time has come to increase our production force with a new artist!

We have been developing Guardforce for 2 years now and we're already close to the finish line. But we need a bit more help which is where you come in handy! :smile:  We'd like to show you more of the game and tell you all the details but the project hasn't been announced yet. So we prefer to tell you about it through email. And we'll have no problem on answering any question you may have.
For now, we can say it's an isometric/top-down game mixing TwinStick, TowerDefense and Strategy elements in a Sci-Fi setting. Coming for PC/Consoles.

Hand Painted / Stylized Texture Artist.

As a member of the art team, you will be in charge of texturizing several characters, props and environment pieces. Our texturing workflow is limited to Diffuse/Albedo map. We don't use specularity, normal maps and the like as the art style we've defined focuses on hand painted textures. As shown in the following example:

Requirements:

  • An astonishing art style and 2D painting skills to be able to make Guardforce shine with your stylized textures.
  • Basic 3D knowledge with 3Ds Max/Maya, Zbrush, etc.
  • Experience with 3D Coat/Substance painter for painting and baking of maps.
  • High knowledge of Photoshop.
  • Deep passion for art and video games.

About the revenue share:

We're actively looking for financing, attending shows and video game expos to meet publishers and new financing opportunities. We want you to know that none of the team members (5 right now) is perceiving any payment. So this is not a situation in which "we don't have money" applyes only to you.

While the financing arrives (or the product is shipped and we've got some revenue) and until we're able to hire you with a standard contract and salary; we will sign a contract with you which details and ensures that no matter the amount if anyone (including the CEO) is paid. You'll get paid a proportional quantity of that sum, based on a pre-arranged percentage. We've used this formula several times in the past and we like it as it provides security and trust to our employees, as they know that no matter what happens everyone involved in the project will be treated equally in regards to financing.
