Hope this is the right section to post this.
Can people feedback my techart portfolio?
Revamping it with tech art stuff and trying a new layout. What do you think works or doesn't work on the new portfolio. And is it better than the old one?
And how do you show techart stuff under NDA, most of my tech work has been at my current job on inhouse tooling.

old portfolio (about 3-4 years oldm, mainly art and projects): hannesdelbeke.com
new portfolio: hannesdelbeke.com/wp

NDA stuff is always tricky, most people put it under a private portfolio. Since it is tech art stuff? Usually you can explain it without having to show it? That isn't as sexy but then again you can really struggle to find a way to make tech stuff look sexy so sometimes text is the best you can do.

The new site seems to take a bit to load, maybe that is just a difference in region and where the site is hosted but the old site on the same addy runs pretty quick so maybe it is something internal?

I kind of like the "everything out in the open" look of the old site, I don't really like having to navigate to get to a specific section. Maybe if the sub-sections where just in the menu instead of behind a flyout?

I like the work that you've done since!

I think the layout and dropdowns are a bit finicky. I understand it's still a WIP, but it could definitely be more 'in your face'. I think @Mark Dygert  folio is a great example of simple nav + very visually appealing. It catches your attention straight away.

Also, that Bend script is very useful. Is it available on Scriptspot? :)

I think your older website is much nicer, it's just missing the rigging videos you have. Would be nice to see some instances of the cloth in Sea of Thieves (maybe?) but it would also be good to see snippets of actual code. I've seen some horrible stuff in the past from people who claimed they were proficient in Python, and I'd love to see samples (even if just a snippet) of a class that maybe setup to work in a multi-fashioned instance.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll probably do a long scrollpage version of the site and see if that works.
Or might go back to the old site and add the tech stuff in there.
Both sites are hosted on the same server, only difference is that the old one is just plain HTML and the new one is wordpress, so easier to maintain.

    @musashidan it is: http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/advanced-bend-modifier
not sure if it works in the latest version but here is a post where I explain the math if you want to make your own version

it ties in with the stuff on @Mark Dygert his site, that magic number 78.6 you scale it with. https://mark3d.carbonmade.com/projects/5565404

Good shout on the python snippets, I'll have to code something in my spare time though since work stuff will be a no.

The main issue with the old site is that it's art focused and people might think I'm a 3d artist hehe. Some nice example folios I found are:
