Hey everyone, I've created a texture to be used on the inside of a domed cieling and I'm having trouble getting it to map correctly.
The texture is 2x2 squares, and using a UVW Map modifier in Max I've mapped the texture to planes creating the look I want, but this doesn't give me correct maps to use in UE4 (as far as I know). I know that I can flatten the sphere UVs and create polar coordinates in photoshop, but that would remove my ability to scale the texture later in Unreal.
As mentioned, the intended goal for this is to be used in UE4 and make the tiles scale-able if possible.
I'm a relative noob to 3ds max and am probably going about this in a totally incorrect way, so any help would be great.
