Hey guys!
This is my first time posting here. I was kind of afraid doing it, because there are so many great creations here, I felt like it's not good enough, but then I figured, I won't get better if I never get any feedback, se here it is:)
Little fooling around in Marmoset
I was thinking on making a version without a helmet. Still have a little bit of work to do on this one, but i fell like its almost finnished.
I've made everything in 3dsMax, except for the head and the little skull on the chest.
The next step will be to add some wearing and damage to the armor in zbrush.
After that i have to make the low-poly version and texturing but these are far away ahead of me. I want to do it on Maya but i dont really know that one yet so i have to learn a few things first and i thought it would be a good oppurtunity to practice using maya by making the lowpoly version there, after I got used to the new tools and interface.
Anyways, I'm curious to hear your opinions on this one. Cheers!:)
PS: I know its not a primaris marine helmet, but i like this one more.

I think the armour will look great when you weather it a bit and put some paint on it.
Looking forward to seeing this project progress
Are you gonna add any 'soft' accessories like totems or stickers? Might help spruce the character a bit.
I was thinking on adding more accessories to it, but i think I'll see it if its still necessary when i have finnished the texturing as well. It shouldn't be a big deal creating some relics and purity seals, but if i dont see it necessary i probably wont bother with it.
edit: He will have a bolter too. It's almost finnished. Only needs texturing but first i want to do it for the space marine, because if i do it for the weapon first, maybe it wont match with the space marine in the end, and i dont want that. I would rather match the gun to the marine than the other way around.
I was thinking it is time for a little update on my Space Marine:)

I have made some improvements on the head too.
Its still wip but I would like to hear your thoughts on how can i improve it, or is there anything wrong with the materials. I have never done anything like it, so I have learned a lot already, but it is not as simple as i have first thought.

I'm not sure if i want eyebrows. I will defenetly try them out but the lack of them gives him a scary unsettling character which I like.
Also that back panel behind his head is really ugly. I should do something about it.
Edit:
I've made a turntable on the whole thing. Please ignore the ugly background and ground for now:)
