PROJECT PEACE - I could use some help

Hi everyone, recently I was so concerned about my career path and I have a lot of questions that need answers which I hope I could get help from any of you who are professionals or at least have some sort of knowledge inside the industry because I feel kinda lost right now.

Thing is I'm interested and passionate in 3 different disciplines in this industry: Animation, 3D Character Art and Character Concept Design. I don't consider myself a generalist because I only focus on 3 things which, for some people, may sound big because of the dedication it takes to be good at ONE thing. So my question is - Can I be a professional doing 3 things? If yes, do AAA studios let you wear multiple hats at different production time, of course, if only I'm good enough to take on different jobs of that studio? For example, being a concept artist in pre-production, character artist and/or animator in production. I know asking these questions may make me sound silly but I couldn't help it. It drives me nuts lately. I know it will take 3 times of the effort that a normal passionate person puts in, but this is what I always want to achieve as long as there are studios that allow these kinda of things.

The images here are an example of a big project that I'm working on. I worked from the concept to now doing his game res model and then animating. I'd put a lot of hours into this and therefore, be thankful if I could hear your feedback on how I could improve on anything. I'll try to post progress every now and then. Thank you for your time and have a good one!

You can be a professional doing three things.  I'm a professional who's doing 5+ things atm, and I still call  myself a Character Artist.  You just sound like a Character Artist as well with some additional skills.  It really depends on the needs and challenges of the studio you're at in question.

What is the reender target of your Peace character?  Looks like you're generally going for some sembelance of realism?

Thank you, Brian, for the answer, that does help me a lot :)

As for your question about the quality target, I'm aiming for achieving the look of Naughty Dog's Uncharted 4. I know I set my bar really high and probably too high to start with. However, I'll push this as far as I can.

Again thank you for your consideration Brian, I feel relief now

The character looks good. The hair seems to have no volume atm and thins out at the widow peaks which looks a bit odd for such a young face. Probably best to use hair cards as this looks like ZBrush's fiber brush. The eyebrows also look low volume. The area above the eye need a fold but I guess you are still busy with it. Cant help you with the studio question.

Hi kanga, and thank you for your feedback on the hair. I should have mentioned it as right now the hair is done using fibermesh and they are only placeholders. I’m pretty bad at grooming and probably need to do it more. Eventually I’d use hair cards of course, because this should be a so-called in game model. I’m working on his secondary layers of shapes, fixing the anatomy inside the clothes and some housekeeping here and there. Thanks again, kanga! :)
