Keyboard Heatmap ( Software/Hardware ) Tips

Hey Folks,
In the Art Cafe Channel on Youtube, Maciej mentioned two times now that Vitaly Bulgarov uses some Software to create maps which Shows which keybindings where used over a period of time in order to Display which hotkeys are placed badly - I couldn't really find something appropriate that would work for PC's that Need to be disconnected from the Internet and also Display in Detail which hotkey combinations where used rather than how often certain Buttons where pressed.
I found ,,Keyloggers USB's,, but since they record all activity not just keystrokes and im working with sensible data this isn't really an Option.
In the best case Scenario a Keyboard with a built in function like this would be a game saver.
Any Directions toward a Solution would be appreciated.

Simple, free, software independent
