Silly ZBrush and Wacom pen problem, cheers for the help!

Not sure if it's a setting I'm missing, but it seems like there is a radius of about a centimeter before I can orbit my model or sculpt. It's like the pen is inactive but the cursor moves, nothing is responsive. Once my pen leaves this invisible radius I can orbit or do whatever else. I don't remember it ever doing this. It's not too annoying except when I try to press spacebar and change my brush size. It really makes it difficult to do small quick strokes and change settings with my pen. Does this make sense? Any suggestions? I just upgraded to 2018.1 but it also did it this morning on a clean install of 2018. I don't think it's the pen or tablet (cintiq pro 16) because photoshop is immediately responsive.
