looking pretty cool! seems like the upper half of the right side panels should have a gap between them and the main body so that you can add vents later on
I am having this strange issues where everything with my meshes normal look fine in 3ds Max, Blender, etc. But when I am baking in Marmoset it shows them as flipped. I have tried to everything I can think of to fix it. No luck. File type, Flipping normals, Unifying normals, Detaching and remaking, etc.
Hi Everyone. I am excited to finished this PBR Trash Compactor game asset. I wanted to thanks Sheng Lam for used of the original concept. Please check out my artstation for High Quality renders. Overall Look really good. The only things that really stands out to me is the green paint. Its really thick looking and almost gives off the look of painted concrete. Have you tried lowering normal intensity? normally paint on metal is a thin coat. But maybe I messed something in your design and its supposed to be the way it is. If so I apologize. Best of luck!
This guy over here keeps getting better and better. Quit it man, I'm going to sneak into your place and snatch away your stylus.
I'm very glad you didn't do the thing where you had metal surfaces with what looks like painted over rust, I saw another model that was similar to this and had that issue; your metals look good Ryan, nice work.
@jlvwm Thank you for some critique. I might be able to lower the normal intensity on the green paint. Maybe try some other things to make it look more like paint.
@PeterK Thanks. Yea the metal went through a few iterations. I didn't like it for a while. I might do a different version which has more grunge maybe. I got some paint overs which people gave some other critique to add more grunge at the openings where you would put in trash. Hopefully I can continue to get better.
