These contracts have been filled.  Thanks everyone who sent their portfolio.  I won't be able to get back to everyone but I saw some really great artwork and was glad to have the opportunity to look it over.

I need two different kinds of art so I've split them out as different contracts, but ideally I'd like to hire the same person for both.

Who I am: 
Hi, my name is Dawson.  I'm occasionally write game making tutorials on my personal website at http://www.osmstudios.com.  In my real job I'm a web developer at a major Tech company in the US.  I'm interested in game development and machine learning (more on that in a bit).

Contracts: A friend and I have started work on a short horror game (maybe 4 hours of gameplay) that is narrative based.  The player will control a man whose car breaks down in the middle of an old growth deciduous forest and must find his way to help by following lights into the trees.  I grew up in a small community surrounded by woods and know what it feels like to be hopelessly lost.  I'm trying to capture that for the gamer.  The environment is procedurally generated and stretches out infinitely in every direction.  With the exception of 5 or so fixed landmarks the rest of the forest is moving and shifting making navigation impossible.  The player is forced to either play by the monster's rules or die.

1st Contract: A Monster
The game depends on a frightening monster for its scares, so I'm not skimping on this.  I'm infatuated with the Leshy or Leshen from the Witcher 3 franchise.  (http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Leshy)  This very organic, but partially dead old and menacing thing.  Here is an artist's depiction of a similar creature but from Mesopotamian myth: https://i.imgur.com/PgSg4Je.jpg.  I also like the monster from the movie The Ritual, if you're feeling particularly creative (https://cinemamind.deviantart.com/art/The-Ritual-731288882).  I will need the model itself, texturing, rigging, as well as a few simple animations (monster points) and some more complicated ones (monster crawls up stairs, monster runs, monster attacks)

2nd Contract: Environment Assets
I need a fair bit of miscellaneous assets to make the forest feel alive including special trees, random debris, street signs, cabins, and similar.  Still working on a complete list.  Let me know if you're interested.

Contract Terms: 50% upfront / 50% on delivery.  Payment will be sent via Paypal, Google Wallet, check (for US residents) or Cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH).  When applying, please send a link to your portfolio, a ballpark price figure, and estimated time needed.  I'll provide more details as we talk.  I'd like to have some on going conversations where I offer more contracts in the future.
