Hi everyone, this is my first ever weapon model and first time sharing work on the Polycount forum; I apologize if I am breaking any manner of forum decorum and please correct me if so. That being said, I have lurked on this website for some time now, and I'd like to thank all of the seasoned users who have shared their topo and rendering tricks, software and workflow notes, etc. - it has helped me tremendously.
This is a weapon concept inspired by the SIG Sauer P220S, although it contains elements of many common handguns. I appreciate any feedback y'all can offer.
Hey y'all, I really appreciate it. I used Keyshot to render and then some basic Photoshop work.
I spent plenty of time going back and forth about little details, but the thing that challenged me the most was putting together an interesting composition for so few objects. I've seen Alex Khaliman's work, and he does a tremendous job presenting these types of weapons in an interesting light, poses, and so on.
amazing Job cjwidd!! Can you show the wireframe? I would love to see it. Which programs did you used?
Hey, thank you so much! Actually I cannot show a wireframe because this asset was modeled in Fusion 360, which as you may know, is a CAD software. This project was largely an artistic exercise, however, had the asset been meant for a game-ready environment, I would retopo and bake down the high-res.
