Hi polycount community,
We are developing an unofficial, fan made total conversion, that brings the SciFi Universe of Warhammer 40.000 to life in a very detailed and very believable manner in all aspects. It is a very big passion project, basically, which i (X3KJ) started 4 years ago.
We want to portray a particular made-up conflict (the Samarsk Uprising) between soldiers of the Imperium and Chaos Renegades in the 40k Universe in the most believable (IRL and "in universe") and immersive way possible. Our base game of choice was Arma 3 because it allows big and realistic maps and battles, has already very detailed game mechanics and possibilities (simulator like in some aspects) for allowing large scale combined arms scenarios, but also small but intense scenarios for a hand full of people.
The level of detail we pursue is on par with the level of detail in "vanilla" Arma 3, but may in some aspects go even further. This level of detail has never been seen in any other form of 40k media (shorts, mods, full games) - so this is quite unique. For example we are modelling
full and functional vehicle interiors where it is viable. We are aiming for fairly high quality and production values (relatively, for a mod) and are looking for good art consistency
