Hello,
When I started to learn CG I always wanted to create nature, now I know a bit of everything except of how to create different vegetation. Is someone a professional in creating vegetation here? Please help me decide where to go.
I want to create vegetation for general purposes: ultrahigh quality vegetation, greenery for games, photo-real flowers - all of this.
Please help.

I checked, but it seems speedtree is too expensive and has different packages for everything. Is there a universal package for general purposes, like games and cinema combined? And does the developers of speedtree provide a student versions of their software?
Thank all for the responses!
As far as I know, there isn't a student version.
I would say the cinema version is the "universal" version but that expensive, yeah
Honestly, the best thing to do is to combine megascans and speedtree in your workflow. You could download scanned leaves, bark textures, etc, and play with them in any way in speedtree. But then it gets kind of expensive overall, for a student. This would give you the most realistic result, and most flexible and easiest way to work though.

If you're a Blender user, The Grove looks pretty good, and 109EU isn't bad. I haven't used it but it looks decent.

XFrog is a standalone Windows tool, currently 99USD. I haven't used it but it also looks good.

I use maya and looking forward to see blender 2.8 to use it by the way.
This software looks as what I need indeed, but...

Thanks for the Xfrog. I didn't know about that.
