Hey, sorry in advance for what is a complete 100% n00b question! Here goes:
I'm following
Jama Jurabaev's Learn Squared course on concepting with 3d, first chapter, he shows how to use stencils and the cut off tool to carve out shapes out of a primitive.
Problem I have is that the cut off tool, when used on the stencils, creates straight edges on the mesh. (see images for exemples):
image1: primitive cube, basic stencil, cut off tool is used to carve out shapes.
image2: little cuts on the surface of the mesh.
image3: another worse case.
Funny thing is that the cut off tool gives me a clean edge when used on its own, but gives unclean results with stencils:
image4: cut off used without (left) and with stencils (right)
Question is: how can I get a clean cut on a mesh using stencils without these random junk edges?
Is this something to do with the size of the mesh on the grid relative to the size of the stencils? (A little like zbrush polymesh size when you want clean edges).
Thanks in advance guys!
