Been working on this fun creature design, but need help making it a bit more interesting here is some pics with and without hair, any feedback is welcome.
some sort of mole or rodent like creature (originally used an ant eater as reference but have kind of just worked around it).. Just kind of looking to make my character more interesting
Your claws should have more silhouette prominence, and the silouette should dramatically feel more dangerous than this soft feeling we get on t he rest of the rat's body. Communicate that the hands are dangerous.
The mohawk should have a specific silhouette, instead of just this random placement with a gentle gradient of less hair as it goes form heead to tail. Give it an aggressive, ineresting silhouette.
Why does this character exist? What makes it more than just cool? It'll help inform our critique.
I plan it to be a part of a fighting game for my college major project, so making it more fighting oriented would be cool
Being for a fighting game is not specific enough. You need to know a little of the characters back story. This determines the clothes, weapons, armor, posing and everything. Clayfighter 63 1/3 was one of the only fighting games that I know of to display an amazing lack of development, but then it was done on purpose. Even though the characters are all wacky and weird, they all have some thought put into the design before hand.
