How can I get a high res real world landscape texture now that I have the lidar data?

I've grabbed some real world lidar data from OpenTopography. I download the dem and I'm able to get it into world machine. How should I go about getting the satellite image as a texture for the region that I selected? Is there a good way to do this or is stitching together multiple images taken from google maps the best way?
