Hi guys, I'm delving into the world of FACS based rigging for a face. The various models (neutral and blendshapes) are derived from scanned heads.
Here in this video (1m.34s)
https://goo.gl/PQXogi I give a brief breakdown of my process from scan to corrective blendshapes. Right now I'm a little lost on how to tie all of the blendshapes together once I incorporate more (e.g. L_mouth_down, jaw_open, R_mouth_up).

Should I be basing this off of the FACS AUs? How important is weight painting if blends will be driving the rig? Order of operations?
It's all a little overwhelming and I'm trying to get my feet planted on this workflow.
The goal I'm aiming for is to drive the face with a controller that uses xy directions to influence multiple blendshapes (ex below). Any help with pointing me in the right direction is most appreciated! Cheers
