Hi polycount, been a while, I've been working on a character piece and wanted some Critique and advice on how to imporve it, maybe it be props or changing/adding certain things to fix the overall presentation.
i know certain area's such as the face, hair and armor need to be fixed but if you have any advice would be really appreciated, Also i'm going for an fantasy styled theme for the character which is why the eyes are Raiden like
The lighting is really harsh and washes out some of the features. At the moment it just feels like pieces put together. I don't feel the story that you are trying to weave. Eyes being all glowy is a fair idea, but even then they need to glow or emit particles or have texture within. Flat shading them, just makes the character look blind. lol.
Thanks for the feedback @Skinner3D yeah I've been thinking that the overall piece doesn't explain what is happening in the scene so i'll be re-fixing that, is their anyway That you might have some tips or good tutorials that may demonstrate how to add particles to the eyes it would be really cool to do that.
Adding luminosity and glow is an easy start. Doing it in photoshop afterwards is also a possibility if you are doing a static render. After that it becomes very program specific.
