hey guys i just started work on a bit of fan art after seeing the trailer, i started modelling on and off for about a month now and finally have some free time to work on texturing it, so far i've only really started blocking in colour so there is not much in the way of details in the texture, i will be updating here often with the hopes of feedback and useful critiques, one thing i should mention is this is probably not going to be very close to the actual movie version as there is not a huge amount of reference (90% youtube stills) however im going to just brush it off as this is my take on it
a little update, theres still along way to go but im liking the progress i've made so far, looking at it now some of the dust looks a bit unrealistic and i still have a few part un textured
more dirt and grit all over the place. think gradient, from bottom should be mud, stones, scratches that are visible, and also on front and windshield. where all dust just hits..maybe something stuckon the front, like wooden parts, leafs or vines... blood stain? worn out edges should differ, right know they seem to be the same size all over.
thanks for the feedback i will work on that next, also for the windshield im currently using marmoset for my glass, how would i go about adding the dirt/dust to that?

you are using substance right? I think i can vaglue remember trying to help you with roughness on that forum. you have a opacity created in substance, so know you just add all type of dirt that can hit the windshield while driving. Start with dust, flies... maybe small cracks. Add a fill layer in substance, turn off everything except for roughness and use proceduals or alphas to create what you need !

thanks, i'll work on the body dirt first then i will give glass a go
not a huge amount done to it, just added in some more dust and sand, i also added in a few scratches down the side to help break up the roughness some more, once i have gone over and added some more dust and sand i will go over and add some mud on the bottom side and the curve on the body
wirrexx im having some trouble getting the dirty glass i made in substance to work in marmoset is there any special things i need to for glass instead of just importing the maps in? i have the glass working but when i try to put my albeado it turns the glass black
