I found these rigs called "External World character rigs" -
https://davidoreilly.itch.io/external-world-characters When I go to render the rig the texture does not show up. It renders just with a normal Lambert, but in the Maya view port all the rigs have the textures applied.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
I saw an early post on this issue and it was solved with a Mental Ray Vertex Color node in the hyper shade. Only problem with that is Mental Ray is no longer in Maya.
Any kind of help would be much appreciated.

While not an exact solution, the video i posted shows how to get vertex colors working with arnold.
