I want to share a project that I work on my free time to practice the video game hand painted models. I base on the great concept from Baldi Konijn. Hope you find something interesting on it, critics and comments are so welcome. And I'll be glad to answer any question regarding the process, tools or tips to develop this kind of models and texture if you have some.
This looks awesome! Which software did you use to paint? And from the highpoly, Do you extract any maps? for example, AO,Normal? if so, how do you composite them in the final texture?
Thanks for taking the time to leave your comments. About your questions; -I use 3D Coat majority to make the textures and also Photoshop for color corrections, light and shadow balance, etc. 2-For this one I don't bake maps, but for a more serious model I do, I make a clean high poly, retopo the low poly on it and from there extract maps like: AO, normal map, World space map and work those maps to establish a base gray scale volume texture and start texturing.
Hi @Goldo_O Its good to salute you again and also its a pleasure receive this kind of comments from a great artist like you ^^ thanks buddy!! Have a good weekend
@jose.fuentes Thanks man ^^ I was trying to match the concept perspective angle for the overall shapes and then make the translation of the texture style on a more LOL, WOW style.
