Scratches to the wood or knicks in the metal. If you are using the orb brush pack, there are some really neat ones you can play around with. If you don't have it, feel free to pick it up.
If you decide to do this, make sure that if you have multiple barrels next to each other they they are not easy to tell they are duplicated.
Hi @Enhirement Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I used the Orb brush pack for sculpting the major details and yes, you're right by adding scratches to the wood. In fact, I added some. Here my another shot: Also, I was thinking adding some missing details through my texturing process. Is it a good idea? Thanks for your response.

That's perfectly fine! For the most part, sculpting is to just give general guidelines for for painting process. After you get your normal, AO, or whatever you want baked out it's all about the paint.
@Enhirement Thanks. I've got another question: Do you know any recommended tutorial for hand painting textures?
Yep, it directly ties into your barrel as well! If you have the cash, I strongly recommend you look into: http://3dmotive.com/series/stylized-dungeon-in-maya.html It's very resourceful and tells a lot about hand painted + sculpting.
