Hello everyone! I'm currently working in a World of Warcraft project (animations and videos, NOT games), the problem is that I don't know how to make the special effects used in the game, INSIDE 3DS MAX. I know it can be done in a compositing program, but I'd like to know if theres a possible way to achieve those kind of effects on 3DS MAX or other 3D program. I'm currently learning FumeFX and Phoenix (So I can take advise from these plugins´ users), but I can't seem to find tutorials about making these effects.
Glowing effects on the character eyes, weapon particles, smoke, gas and fire simulations.
Are these effects possible to achieve? Or is it a MUST to use other compositing software (After effects....) If they're possible to achieve, could you adress me some plugins or procedures?
I haven't been able to work the particle systems to simulate these kind of effects as seen in the images, as a "Follow path" doesn't seem to have the expected results
