Hi,


I will be designing an iPhone case for the contest. The character, Naga Siren, will be the subject for the custom design on the back. 

There are a few things to consider when designing the bumper of the case. First, how deep of a relief carving do I want the sculpted design on the back to be. I chose to make it 3mm deep. Secondly, its important that the case feels comfortable in your hand. Therefore I rounded out the edges and made the location of the buttons easy to find.

I have sent a basic bumper model to the printers at Shapeways to test the fit and hope to get it back in time to make adjustments if needed. Meanwhile I will sketch up some ideas for the design on the back. Cheers!
