Hello,
I'm looking for a 3d model of the Avali race from a the well known Starbound mod :
http://avali.wikia.com/wiki/Art_&_ConceptsI'm looking for an artist that can go from the 2D concept arts to a finished and textured result that works in Secondlife.
Secondlife experience is obviously needed, as navigating tutorials and fiddling with the import process would take a lot of your precious time otherwise. Ideally you already have played with mesh creation and avatar rigging for SL.
An Avali avatar already exists for Secondlife, but is too basic for my taste :
https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Avali-Avatar-40-Starbound/5903807It's real cute, but here is what I don't like about it:
- the abrupt change of size on wing feathers from arm to forearm.
- texture for eyes.
- no mouth at all, not even drawn with a texture.
- The leg, knee up is just an oval and transition badly with the base of the tail.
Here's what I'd like:
- Something that looks like an Avali, fluffy/feathery where it needs to be. Obviously you have some freedom on the modeling as the concept arts rank from toony to more detailled.
- LOD taken into account so the avatar doesn't turn into deformed mess when viewed from a distance
http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Mesh_and_LOD- Fitmesh avatar so it can be resized with slidders
http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Mesh/Rigging_Fitted_Mesh- Use of the new "Bento" skeleton, especially to rig the tail and mouth and fingers, facial expressions optional.
- Usage of faces in the mesh to be able to hide wing feathers, head feathers, chest fluff as well as portions of the body (feet, leg, hands, arm etc as is usual on SL avatars to hide parts of the model under clothings).
- Usage of spheres for eyes as is typical to toon av on SL, so eyes move with the avatar's gaze, this is the main beef I have with the existing Avali avatar wich uses a texture for the eyes.
- two or three simple clothes, shirt, pants, skirt/dress .
If you're interested please email me with your portfolio link and ideally example of SL objects/avatars you made and rate/estimate on total price.
Regards.
