I was following a tutorial on setting up a character skeleton and control rig, since I'm feeling rusty at it, and I ran into an issue that I cant find an explanation for.
So this controller is parented to the very top joint of the head:

and this controller to the actual head joint, for moving the head itself:

but when moving the head around, this happens:

the joints don't seem to actually follow hierarchy anymore at all, and I can't figure the problem out at all.
(Maya Lt 2017 running on windows 10 if that matters)
