Maya - Stacking objects for baking

Whats the best way to move and highpoly object on to and lowpoly so they match upp 100% (The positions). Without doing it manually with move tool ?
I have a revolver model that i wanna explode bake and want to assure it matches when i separate everything and stack on top of each other. 

Hope my question makes sense.. :|

    I'm not sure about a non manual way, but if you freeze transforms before exploding and then move pairs of low and high poly meshes manually you can just zero out the transforms when you want them to snap back together.(I would use a high step snap value to make it easier if I add other meshes down the line, makes it easier to position exactly)

    Another way is to set keyframes for your pieces in unexploded form, and then another on a different frame when you move pairs out.

    Personally I use substance designer to bake these days, and using the match by mesh name feature removes alot of the headache of exploding meshes.

    Yeah did some research after making the thread and it seems like match by mash is the way to go tbh.. Well Ty for the reply it has cleared some things out!
