SPainter 2, and SPainter 2018. Are they different products ?

I was paying monthly for SP2 for a while, before I bought it. Now it seems there's SP 2018. Is that a new product entirely, or is that an upgrade ?
Any idea ?

Substance Painter doesn't have major upgrades anymore, the number just indicates when the latest build was released. You can buy what we call a maintenance, which gives you access to 12 more months of updates, or you can pay monthly like you used to as well to get the new versions.
Both buying the maintenance and subscribing would be half price since you already own SP2.
