Maya - vertex snapping is sending selection into oblivion

When I try to vertex snap a selection, whether it's an object, edge, vertex, it gets sent to NaN, this also happens to the camera when I try to frame my selection with F. This isn't a problem with Maya, as in a new scene vertex snapping works fine, however if I import the broken scene into a new scene, the problem returns. Also- most of the time when this broken vertex snapping happens, I can't undo it into it's original state, I undo, but the selection is still decimated. Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this bizarre behavior?

    Try updating/rolling back your GPU drivers. I had similar things happen a couple years back due to driver issues, not on snapping but selecting and moving certain verts would send them shooting off into oblivion.
