Edge Case Games are looking to take on a Junior Cinematics Artist in a full time position. We are looking for someone with either a background in cinematics, who is experienced with 3D software or a graduate/junior displaying the right attitude & portfolio who will grow to fill the role. 
You will work with the Art Lead, Marketing Director & our current cinematic artist to deliver customer facing marketing imagery. You will have a large library of ship assets, environments and VFX at your disposal to create in game cinematic, trailer & promotional imagery using UE4.

The right candidate would work alongside talented industry veterans currently developing on Fractured Space.
Based in Guildford, Edge Case Games is looking for an exceptionally skilled Cinematic Artist who can also turn their hand to in game 3d art. The perfect candidate will be passionate about sci-fi, have a strong eye for great camera work and want to create stunning cutscenes and promotional trailers, as well as having experience making 3D assets for games.

You will be able to work independently and also be comfortable with taking direction and artistic critique. You’ll be working within a multidisciplinary team of designers, artists, and developers and will have the ability to both share your hard-earned knowledge and continue to develop your skill set by learning from your teammates.


Preferred Skills:

  • Strong background in composition & framing
  • Experience with lighting in UE4
  • Experience using UE4 matinee & sequencer
  • Knowledge of Premiere Pro & After Effects
  • Basic UE4 blueprint visual scripting knowledge
  • An understanding of storytelling & visual communication
  • Be comfortable working in a pre-defined Art Style
  • Reliability when dealing with deadlines & excellent time keeping skills
  • Outstanding creativity & strong commitment to a project
  • Knows their way around 3D software (e.g. Maya, Max)
  • Have good communication skills and an ability to work well in a team environment
