ARK: Survival Evolved - Character Artist - Seattle, WA
Studio Wildcard, creators of the smash indie hit ARK: Survival Evolved, was founded in 2014. ARK is the most successful Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview title ever and continues to break industry records on consoles and PC. We are looking for a capable Character Artist to fill an onsite role in our Seattle-area office to work on the ARK IP and future projects.

Responsibilities:
Create characters, clothing, and creatures that make our concepts come to life
Be responsible for each asset from high poly to low poly to texturing
Maintain a balance between visual quality and performance requirements
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in game development with at least 1 shipped game as a character artist
Good understanding of proper topology and texturing for character assets for use in games
Great understanding of current asset creation tools and techniques
Strong understanding of human and animal anatomy
Strong self-motivation, great communication, and awesome team-player attitude
Pluses:
Experience working in Unreal 4
Experience working with customizable characters
Experience with Marvelous Designer and Substance Painter

About The Game
ARK: Survival Evolved takes on the survival genre with a unique blend of emergent multiplayer cooperation and competition. Players must hunt, harvest, craft, research technology, and build shelters to protect against punishing climate conditions, dangerous wildlife, and potential enemies.
