So..! I'm working on my first human character model and I would love to get some feedback on my progress!
I've only ever modeled two characters previously, a cat:
and a rat:

The pipeline right now is to create a highpoly in zBrush, modeling the hair (no alpha planes!) following techniques I found for example Danny Mac is using.

The initial design was from a 2D drawing I was working on for fun (to the right), but I also plan on finishing a character sheet (to the left) for the final clothing design.
For the clothing, which I've never done in 3D before(!), I plan on using Marvelous Designer for the cloth to get a realistic look and then to model the armor in zBrush.

I aim on trying to keep the character fairly optimized at around 20k using handpainted PBR textures in Substance Painter.

I would love to hear opinions and critiques on the progress and my pipeline. Especially on how I should approach the clothing and the look of the character, how realistic vs. stylized is mostly desired. Also if you have your own workflow or your own experience with what companies use for game-ready characters today the insight would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for the look! ///Sabina
