Getting good bakes from high poly cylinders onto low poly cylinders?

This may be perfectly normal but is there anything I'm doing wrong when trying to get a good bake of a cylinder? In the image, you can see where the low poly is still visible because it's outstretching the high poly detail. Is there any way to avoid this without increasing the poly count of the low poly cylinder?

There's not much you can do -  it's basically doing what it's supposed to.

The idea is to have enough geometry in the low res that it looks acceptable at your closest viewing distance

This is a hack, but in some cases you can just have the same division on the highpoly as on the low, and instead of turbosmoothing, you can chamfer. This should give aligned edges, but its unpractical and hard to do in some cases, where something intersects this cylinder. Otherwise, yeah, not much to do.
