Space Marine Squad, first try in matte

Hi all. First time (kinda) posting here. Here is an idea that i have that's not finished at all (15% process for now i guess). But, i need help with the lighting of it. The red tint is giving me a lot of problems and i have no idea how to set the lighting up. Any help would be appreciated.

C&C ofc would be appreciated.

For anyone interested, trying to set up a W40k Space Marine squad before going on a mission.

Im not sure I undersatnd your problem, just pick a different color then red when you paint xD

Oh, you mean the whole scene?  I like the red, i just have it too much. It's "very" red, but i will tone it down a bit.

well If you really want to use one color only, I would look into the values of your painting and really nail try to nail that.

When painting monochromaticly values are really what separates a good painting from a bad one.
Id suggest looking at your painting in grayscale, and make sure everything reads from there.
