We're looking for an artist who can whip up a fantastic blend of rock and floral elements and create modular type assets in this realm at a very high quality.

We think this will be a fun work load, as the low poly mesh requirements are simple, and you can get into a groove and have relaxing time creating a geometrically simple environment with a focus on alpha based flora and simply shaped rocks, focus on the cool art elements of color and form and not sweat a bunch of pain in the butt UV work, geometry creation, etc. It's just plants and rocks!

If you already have a large resource file of leaves, branches, and rock assets that you can kitbash together with a few new underwater elements, you are the ideal candidate and could likely slam this out rather quickly and have your art prominently featured in what we're hoping is a pretty kick ass indie game.

Before messaging for this contract position, you should be able to show portfolio work along this quality level:

Reference rock and flora

Assets will range from sprite card floral assets with Normal and diffuse, as well as full 3d rock formations with diffuse and normal as well, possibly some terrain textures.

The game is 2.5 D, so it only needs to be created from a single side view angle, but we are using perspective so things will have to look decent when viewed from slightly different angles.

We will be using alpha cards on top of base geo to create a whimsical stylized scene with grass like algae that waves and flows in the water and overhangs rock formations, with interesting long strands of seaweed that reach all the way up to the top of the sea level.

We're looking for a bit of style as well, with exaggerated forms and interesting shapes:

The list of assets is rather small, and unique geometric detailing is quite simple, the heart of this work load will be the high end painterly style of the grass and rock, and artful use of alpha cards and flora arrangements to sell these top covered bits of floating rock.

This is the sort of style we'd like to see from assets, a nice bit of color ranges accented into the assets, with a hand painted flair, standard stylized stuff, we're not asking you to reinvent the wheel here! Art that can be repeated extensively without being an eye sore, or too noisy:



**Asset list and rates:**

A variety of lush plant alpha cards to be kitbashed onto all sorts of other assets to bring the environment together. Several grass cards of different types: seaweed, coral formations, etc. **(2 days, 300$)**

A few different rock formations, floating spherical and ground formations **(2 days, 300$)**

various doodads of coral, and other cool "sea stuff" **(3 days, 400$)** 

Price and workload is negotiable, looking for quality over quantity, but really think this is a fun opportunity and uniquely unstressful set of assets to work on.

If things go very well for both of us, there is the potential for for work extending into new zone types with a similar simplicity of geometry and assets.

Bonus Points if you are able to come up with cool ideas for these assets! I'm an effects artist and would love to throw cool pulsing glowy bits, or particles to these guys and make the entire scene come alive! I will certainly be creating shaders to allow these guys to bob and wave in the ocean in a pleasant, performant fashion.
