I'll be posting 2D illustrations/studies here as well as low poly prop modelling. I'm an absolute beginner to maya and 3d modelling, so critiques are valuable to me and extremely appreciated. I'll be starting with simple prop scenes and later move to more complicated objects.

Blocked out  some stuff real quick. It didn't quite look enough like a book, so i changed the spine into pages and added a bookmark. Experimenting with higher colour saturation. It's chilly in there, so added some icicles.

Received some very good feedback on this card back. I went back to the line art stage and painted in ambient occlusion, then went on to lighting and basic colour. More to be done, but looking more 3D now. Also restructured the jaw.

Looking good! I would suggest lightening it up -  a lot of blizzard card backs are brighter and more colorful, your shapes are a little too chopped up when looking at it in greyscale. The wood looks great!
