[3DSMAX] - Ornatrix Hair (Pre-visualize) in viewport 3ds Max like in Maya viewport.

How do I get something similar to Maya Viewport hair previsualization for Ornatrix in the 3dsmax viewport ? I can use a combination of Viewport Shadows and AO + Opacity and Gradient for each hair based on the mapping. But It needs some time to 'update/refine' (viewport will take 10-20 seconds to refine Shadows AO en opacity). And the result is OK, but not as good as the Maya previsualization.

    Max viewport hasnt got as many features as Maya. Either you need to find a hair shader material or use Activeshade with an Arnold renderer to preview any hair work in Max, The standard viewport renderer is pretty bad and it hasnt got Arnold IPR like Maya, Or decent quality shadows, Or RTGI.


    Make sure you set your activeshade renderer to arnold
