Decided to start this project based off of a concept by Thiago Almeida. Still have a lot of work on the torso/back but I've done some material tests on his legs and added a cannon in his claw. I'll be trying to wrap up the high poly topology this weekend.
Finished the high poly's base and now I'm getting ready for the detail pass. Had to change a few things from the concept since the two sides of him had a few differences in a perspective view. Decided to keep thinner arms and ran into a few issues with his joint since his shoulder pad needs to be further away to allow any motion. Any critique would be appreciated before I get further into it!
Finished retopping this guy over the week and have started unwrapping a few pieces. Hoping to be done with that today. I'm considering putting the claws on a separate set considering their scale but I'm not sure yet. I also don't know if I want their details to be completely symmetrical for the same reasons.
Put in a lot of time over the last week rigging and building him a base. Just need to fix a few more issues with his materials and also want to add a few more details to his claws. I'll be at GDC for the next few days, so I'll see how much more I can get done tonight. I may upload the final after I get back.
