Hey guys, I have rendered an image out of UE4. One as it is, and few others divided into maps like depth, metallic, opacity, roughness, etc.
Now I can go straight to editing my render, or work with multiple images. But is it worth using additional maps in photoshop ? What effects do these images add ?

They don't exist for post fx work like that.. .They're debug renders for tech artists to ensure their shaders are correct

You can get some interesting blending out of them for sure but they're not designed for that

Some things that could be pretty useful for post-processing is AO, skybox, lens effects, fog... But that's pretty much the only viable post-processing I know you could get out of this, everything else is as Axi5 said for debugging.
