Ancient Ruins - Tropical lost temple WIP

Hi everyone!

This is my very first blog post about the project I started recently that I called Ancient Ruins.
I want to set the entrance of a millenary temple into a tropical environment, located in a jungle in a realistic look.

The goal is to work on modularity and the smooth integration of human structures into natural environments took there place back. Using Unreal Engine, I want to take advantage and make the since even more unique and modular with splines meshes,vertex painting, etc...

I will often update about my big or smaller progress.

So I already gathered some references from different tropical places and temples from different continents. You can see the most relevant ones just below so you can see what I am aiming for.

After looking a different structures of temples, I tried some arrangements with the built-in basic asset of UE.

So this is what came out :










With this layout, and my references, I know the props I need to model and where to break them to add modularity. I will now start to model!

Let's now get into modeling and I will update my progress. :)
