Are they really a good idea in this case? And which resources with them can you recommend me?

    I used one as inspiration when I built my personal site. Which I used to learn HTML and CSS. But I redesigned it completely in Photoshop, then recreated it all from scratch. Anyhow I wouldn't recommend it, unless you really want to learn the nuts and bolts.
