[Riot Art Contest 2017] Yasuo - Original Splash

Hi all! I'm Ilya.
I really like the design of Yasuo, his character, story, mood, and look.
Yasuo for me is a well trained warrior, ronin. The weapon. But not cold and mindless, but the man who tasted the sorrows and pain and fear, but embraced it all and remained human.
His life route made him ironic with a taste of sadness, but minding his goal he brings justice and peace for souls of his family.
I'd like to do a variation or update of his original splash because, I like his story so much, and will try to show it.
In my illustration I'd like to capture his calmness, strong will and mental focus. That's what I think, grants him strength to do great deeds.
So here are some sketches to start things off:
