Hey guys! I'm going to be doing a Ringleader Lux Splash. Here's some early concepts:

I still need to tweak the design, and I'll be doing some more thumbnails for the final composition, but so far I'm feeling pretty good about this!

Any and all feedback is welcome. Thanks for looking!

This is my favorite lux idea I've seen in this contest and the splash art is SO her. Can't wait to see it done!

A small update! Did some more skin variations and a quick B&W test render.

I also did a few more thumbnails, but I've decided to go with my initial sketch. If time permits I may take a crack at one of these as well, we'll see!

Now on to the final piece!

    Update!

Fixed up the pose/anatomy and got the main colors on there. It still looks flat so I'm gonna play around with the saturation and contrast before moving on with the rendering, along with the composition since she is a bit cramped at the moment. And of course, the background needs to be sorted out. Back to work!

    Update!

Changed up the composition, fixed the colors, and tweaked some of the anatomy. Next step is getting the details on her outfit and adjusting the foreshortening on her arms.

Hey guys! So after getting some critiques from my classmates and professor, I realized that I had lost the energy from my original sketch. To remedy this problem, I've decided to do a soft reset by going back to that initial drawing. Here's what I have so far!

Gotta fix up some of the perspective, but I'm feeling much better about this. Onward to the final piece!

Coming back at sketch, that's courageous!
If you want to keep your drawing vibe, use way bigger brush. If possible, try to find brushes that emulate the material you use with traditional media (aka not airbrush and hardround, which will dramatically soften your art).
    Cheers and good luck.

    Here it is!

Considering this is my first splash art, I'd say I'm satisfied with the result. Of course there's a lot I wish I did differently, but now I know what to focus on in the future! Thanks to everyone who offered feedback and best of luck to all the participants!

Thank you so much for your feedback! I switched to a harder brush and noticed an immediate difference in my work ^_^ good luck to you as well!!
