I am having trouble when it comes to breaking down, analyzing and recreating textures and was wanting some advice so that I can have a better understanding.
From my experience, I think @josh_lynch has some excellent tutorials on how he approaches materials on a macro/micro read, and then how he tackles each individual part in a well thought out manner. Highly recommend checking out his gumroad stuff.
I have access to both substance painter and designer, as well as, and quixel. if I had to choose a focus though I have to use quixel for my group project because everyone else has it, but at the same time I want to dig further into designer.
